2017 was a year full of testings but I thank God because throughout the journey, He was with me. It's already 2018 but let me share the greatness of the Lord in my life for the past year.

November 2017, I got a chance to go to Hongkong alone. It was a special moment for me since it was my first international trip. Since it was unexpected, it was really expensive (No seat sale and late hotel bookings) but the Lord's favor was upon me that I was able to travel for free!
Right after my trip, I was told that my father needed a bypass operation since his artery has 3 blockages on the left side and the right side of his heart was already dysfunctional - which would cost around 1M.
I got depressed since my parents gave me money for my Hongkong trip and I kept thinking that we could have saved the money for my dad's operation. I kept on repeating this in my mind every night to the point I already blamed myself for what is happening. There were times that I would cry at night for no specific reason but the heartbreaking time became a life-changing moment for I was assured that In my weakness, God's love was stronger.

The Lord is faithful to those who rely on Him.

Fast forward to December, my dad was operated and the Lord sent people who supported us throughout the faith-stretching journey. We knew that God was really in control. For the whole time we were in the hospital, His peace surrounded us. God provided the money that we needed and He healed my dad quickly. It was really a miracle. God was really in control.

Aside from that let me share with you some photos that show the highlights of my 2017:

- March 2017, I bought a gen-ad ticket for Bethel Worship Night and was able to seat at the VIP area for free!
- August 2017, Light NC took a leap of faith when we had Explosion 2017 at Cuneta Astrodome with our speakers Julia Panlilio, Ate Faythe Santiago, Ate Jez Manugue and Kuya Noah.
- July 2017, God told me to help my dad in the pastoral ministry. It was only in October that I embraced the challenge to work full-time in our church and function as an administrative assistant along side with my pastoral duties.
- My dad is now at home and is recovering. I would also like to thank everyone who fervently prayed for tatay's recovery and thank everyone who stayed with our family.

Oh, How great the Lord is.

Let me end this by sharing with you Philippians 1:6. "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.".

If in doubt, remember that the Lord knows what He is doing.
It is never our task to understand what He is doing, our work is to fully depend on Him.

Together, let us start the year strong and finish stronger. I can't wait to witness how the Lord will move this year <3
